Strong engineering professional with 2+ years of Robotics industry experience, involved in various development and integration of algorithms to a robotic system. Skilled in C++, Python, Multi-Agent Path Planning, Simulations, Deep learning, Learning based perception, Behavioral and Predictive Motion Planning. My core interest lies in Computer vision, Motion Planning, Simulations and learning in robots.

I did graduation from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Jammu. Involved in Robotics activities from the very first year of college. Elected as a Head of Robotics Club, IIT Jammu. Delivered various talks and sessions on Robotics to the students. Mentored a group of students, where I conducted tutorials and mentored mini-projects on Robotics.

I am currently a Senior Robotics Software Engineer (L3) at UNBOX Robotics, where I am developing various algorithms for sorting mobile robots. Previously, I worked in the Mobile Robotics Department at Addverb Technologies, implemented Multi-agent path planning, Autonomous mapping, and Simulations for Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and Robotics Arm.

Senior Robotics Software Engineer (L3)
  • Developing Fleet Management system (FMS) in Sortation system.
  • Developed a Multi-Agent Path Planner to facilitate the movement of sorting robots.
    • Optimized the traversable area of the map by implementing Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) in the Path Planner.
    • Incorporated Junction-based replanning, Time-based replanning, and Lane relaxation rules to boost efficiency and prevent deadlocks.
  • Designed and implemented a Order Consolidation Algorithm for sorting robots that facilitates dynamic allocation and deallocation of bins.
  • Dockerized the FMS to facilitate seamless integration into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Developed Simulation ecosystem.
    • This simulation helps in robotics algorithm testing and R&D purpose.
    • Deployed a user-friendly, brainless simulation tool to enable the business team to iterate simulations with ease.
    • Conducted over 300+ robot tests using the FMS in simulation.
  • Generated synthetic parcel data using Pareto and parabolic principles to match expected or actual parcel data.

  • Completed "A Real-Time Computing Support for Concore" project during Google Summer of Code, 2023 under the guidance of Dr. Mark G. Arnold, Senior Researcher at Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA, and Dr. Pradeeban Kathiravelu, Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Alaska Anchorage, Anchorage, AK.

Robotics Engineer - Mobile Robotics Department
  • Major contribution in Development of Fleet Management system (FMS) for Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR), can able to control 300+ AMRs.
  • Developed Multi Agent Path Planning system based on node graph approch.
  • Build communication protocals which meets industry requirements - Data Distribution Service (DDS), Advanced Message Queuing Protocol (AMQP), department also implemented VDA 5050 using mosquitto library.
  • Developed various features in FMS which include generation of statistics of each robot, generation of logs file for whole FMS.
  • Build State machine to handle different states of robots.
  • FMS has been deployed at various India and International sites.
  • Simulated FMS and robots stack on Duality simulation platform, created various scenario on Unreal Engine.

  • Developed an EXPLORATION (Autonomous Mapping) algorithm package from scratch which has been tested and deployed in the pratical situations.
  • Developed an algorithm to avoid the robot from going to some restricted regions using real sense camera and ARUCO markers.
  • Created various simulations of Robotics Arm, Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) to develop and test robots virtually using Gazebo.

Research Internship - AMRs
  • Built ROBOMUSE 5.0, an Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMRs) which can carry upto 100 kg pay load from one position to another under Prof. S.K. Saha, IIT Delhi.
  • Developed Human Robot interaction using ZED camera and current sensor.
  • Technology/Framework used:- SLAM, ROS, Computer vision, ZED Camera, Lidar sensor, Navigation and Motion Planning, Nvidia Jetson nano, NUC, Gazebo, Ansys, Solid Works etc.

Head of Robotics Club, IIT Jammu

  • As the elected Head of the Robotics Club, I provided leadership for a team of robotics enthusiasts and accomplished several key milestones during my tenure, which included:
    • Providing mentorship and guidance to members, fostering their technical skills.
    • Successfully leading the development of innovative robotics projects and competitions
    • Efficiently managing resources and creating a budget that was approved by the college for the betterment of the club.
    • Taking an active role in various tech events where the club members represented IIT Jammu Robotics club. Major events the Robotics team participated in during my tenure included IIT Bombay Tech Fest, IIT Mandi Exordio'19, and the Inter IIT Tech Meet.

ROBOCON 2019, Volunteer

  • Played a pivotal role in organizing ROBOCON 2019 at IIT Delhi, a prestigious international robotics competition.
  • Coordinated logistics, registration, and sponsor engagement, contributing to the successful execution of the event.
